Il Segretariato Italiano Studenti in Medicina è un'associazione no-profit, apartitica ed aconfessionale, organizzata da studenti in Medicina, il cui lavoro è volontario. Si propone, tra l'altro, di promuovere le relazioni tra le Facoltà  di Medicina e Chirurgia italiane e straniere.

-Dove trovo informazioni aggiornate sulle attività del SISM a Catania? Presso le bacheche presenti nel cortile delle aule in Via Androne e presso la bacheca situata nell'atrio delle Aule-Biblioteca all'Ospedale Policlinico in via S. Sofia. In questo sito o nella nostra Mailing list

- Cosa devo fare per partecipare?
Ogni anno nel mese di dicembre vengono effettuate le selezioni tra gli studenti dell’Università di Catania.

- Cosa serve per partecipare?
Ti serve una fotocopia del libretto universitario per la calcolare la media e assegnare i pelativi agli esami sostenuti, un breve colloquio in Inglese (o Francese), 2 fototessere e la tua collaborazione!

- Posso collaborare alle attività del S.I.S.M.?
Certo puoi aiutare a sostenere l’organizzazione! Chiedi pure all’Incaricato Locale per maggiori informazioni.

-Cosa sono i punti di collaborazione e come si ottengono? I punti di collaborazione si assegnano in basse al contributo che ognuno ha dato per portare avanti le attività SISM durante l'anno. Questi punti vanno a sommarsi al calcolo per le graduatorie clerkship e research.


SOME ANSWERS TO SOME OF YOUR QUESTIONS
-Do I need to bring the sheet for my bed?No, not at all!

-Here am I going to be hosted? You’ll be hosted into the University dormitory. Please, consider that there are several dormitories and you can be placed in each one of these.

-Will anybody pick me up at the airport or bus/train station? Somobody from the association will pick you up when you arrive.

-Which is the best way to reach Catania?Please consult our page How to get to Catania

-Is necesary any clothes or others special things for activities of social program? Don't forget confortable shoes and a jacket for the trip to the Etna, swimsuite and a protection cream for the sun. We also reccomend something.......alcoholic for the parties!

-Do you recommend us any specially young card for discounts in Italy? It's up to you. Our social program usually doesn't include any activity where this card is useful, but could be useful if you visit Sicily on your own.

-What's the weather like in Sicily in September? Summer is not finished yet! In the evening is cool, but during the day it could be rather hot! It seldomly rains.

Any suggestion? Do your best during working days..............and during week ends and scial program as well!
